Holy smoke

I guess nobody could possibly have missed last week's fuss over black and white smoke and the election of a new pope. What most of the readers abroad did probably miss, however, was the fuss over Voetbal International - a programme about, yes indeed, football. Two of its three anchormen got into a quarrel last Thursday; it escalated to the point of one of them walking out of the show. A lot of speculation was made about whether this Johan Derksen (known for his impressive moustache and the even more impressive amount of cigars he smokes) would show up on tv the next day. In the end, he did.
