After the Amsterdam Gay Pride canal parade. ex football player René van der Gijp commented on the boat that represented the Dutch football league: he declared that he'd never seen any gay football players in the dressing room. He argued that was only natural, because football is a manly sport and gay men feel more comfortable as a hairdresser. Both he and his colleague Johan Derksen, known for his enourmous moustache, were surprised by the negative reactions throughout the country - after all, what he said was true, wasn't it?
