A good neighbour

I never fully realised how many horrible tv-shows there are - until I started drawing tv-related cartoons. This week, I discovered Bonje met de buren (which translates into something like Quarreling with the neighbours). Natasja Froger, the woman on the left, focuses on "solving" conflicts between neighbours. I don't think her approach results in a long-term solution, as she seems to sympathize excessively with one of two parties, enforcing those neighbours' conviction that they are right and the other neighbour is wrong. For balance, her co-host sympathizes with the other party.
How would she react to all those poor EU representatives quarreling with their neighbours over the European budget? I'm sure she'd show a lot of empathy.
