Tv host Matthijs van Nieuwkerk had a rough week. Last Monday, he was the subject of several experiments on static electricity by physics professor Walter Lewin (who had been a guest in Van Nieuwkerk's show before - see my first VARA cartoon: http://bit.ly/SzHA6l). He had a yellow balloon "glued" to his head, and had to hold tinsel that automatically unfolded as he was slapped with a bit of fur to give him a negative charge. Yes, that looked exactly as bizarre as it sounds. The day after, one of his guests tried in vain to teach him some very elementary disco steps. I think Matthijs should try electric boogie.
